When I say there aren’t many like him, I mean it! "Coal" comes straight out of the mountain range land in South Steens, Oregon and has now went on to win the Adult Amateur Riding Division and Body Condition at the 2023 Teens and Oregon Mustangs competition! This is an absolutely gorgeous animal that draws attention wherever he goes. With four white socks, black coronet bands, black hooves, stout conformation, and a mane and tail that grows thick and long. This is the definition of picture perfect! He shows many natural qualities. Coal has a very natural self-carriage and movement that draws the eyes of judges! He easily gives to pressure and has great collection and extension in every gait. Coal has been ridden both western and English, has a soft mouth, and has been thoughtfully brought along by a kind well-known trainer! Trail horse deluxe! Coal has been hauled up and down the West Coast for trail riding and horse camping, as well as completing two 50-mile rides with great vet scores! Loves water, has been hobbled and tied to picket lines. Coal has seen a lot for his age. He hauls and camps like a dream, and is a true natural at anything you ask of him. Coal is very personable and friendly. Everyone who meets him loves him. He has participated in trail competitions and schooling shows, shining just as bright in the show ring as he does on the trail. He also enjoys cattle sorting and has been coached off of all day at several large events. Coal has the potential to go in any direction. He’s young and this is only just the beginning of his career. With a steady personality and a love for work, we could see him thriving as a hunter or dressage horse, or he can continue to enjoy the trails, endurance and cows.
