Here’s a crossbred that will be sure to deliver just that! Ruger is a 3 year old draft cross gelding that stands a thick 15.2hh (still growing) tall and in great substance AND color. Ruger has that born broke mentality and is truly a wonderful riding partner. Ruger has a fun and in your pocket type personality and wants to please. Ruger has a ton of trail and out of the arena experience from trail blazing to riding roads and all through fields and country side. Ruger also rides nicely in the arena and has three lovely gaits and such a beautiful and natural head carriage making him a great prospect for the Eq arena or the ever growing and popular ranch riding classes. He is soft laterally and stays so effortlessly collected in contact in just a plain snaffle. Ruger is comfortable and has nice transitions and the coolest stop and fluid back up. Ruger is started on leg yields and moves nicely off leg and seat. Ruger has a slow trot for staying seated and an extended you can easily post to. Rugers canter is to die for. Hands down so smooth I could ride it all day. He takes both leads stays collected and soft and just flows he is a dream to sit because he is just so comfortable traveling. While he is considered green given his age and not being pushed I think he’s on track to make one phenomenal finished horse, his foundation allows him to go in many directions. I believe this guy would be an asset to a lesson program or a therapy program given his quiet demeanor and gentle way of handling everything we have literally thrown at him, from flapping pool noodles, chucking balls over him and rolling them through his legs to swinging a rope over his head he’s taken it all in stride! This is truly an exceptional colt and will age like fine wine! Ruger is sound in every way and has no known injuries or previous medical issues, he has no limitations or vices.
