Description:
Veltkamp Livestock, located in Manhattan Montana, is seeking a seasonal feed truck driver for the upcoming season and beyond. The season starts In September and ends in May but can be flexible for the right person. We feed 7 days a week. You pick 5 days to feed with 2 days off. The day starts at 8am and finishes when all feeding is done (approx. 7 hrs). We feed around 8,000 head per day, which includes a combination of bulls, steers, breeding heifers, spay heifers, etc. Each pen is unique depending on what the customer’s needs are. Feeding equipment is newer, clean, and well maintained. Pay is hourly and will be negotiated according to knowledge and experience. Duties include:

*Operate feed truck in a safe and responsible manner.

*Load feed truck with precise rations using loader. Feed sheets will be provided for each pen.

*Feed rations accurately and efficiently to each pen.

*Be capable of driving in adverse weather conditions.

*Reading bunks and experience with heavy machinery a plus but will train.
