Introducing Rouge! This beautiful dark grey mare stands 14.3 hands tall with all the shape you can put on one, not to mention her pedigree! This mare is the total package! Rouge has had a solid foundation being used in the feedlot along with working on a cow calf operation. Rouge would be a great team penning or sorting horse over night. She is very cowy and very gritty when it comes to getting in front of one. She will never let you down and always stays true! Rouge crosses water, rough terrain and has seen some rough country including the Palo Duro Danyon and New Mexico. She is 100% sound and has never taken a lame step, she is easy to trim or shoe as well. She gets along well with other geldings and mares either turned out or loaded in a trailer, she does not act Mare-ish at all. With all the exposure Rouge has had outside of the arena she is really nice to head off of as well and she stands in the box quiet and leaves flat. She tracks cattle with ease and has a quick deep stop, along with a good face, this mare is truly an all-around horse! Rouge has always stayed gentle for us leaving her off for weeks at a time is no problem. For the last 5 months Rouge has been used on a ranch gathering, sorting and branding calves, she has packed some of the most novice riders all around with absolutely no trouble! Rouge is traffic-safe being ridden around heavy equipment in the feedlot, loaders, tractors, feed trucks, etc. Rouge shows no spook or silliness.
