Ranch Hand for Family-Run Ranch

 

We are a multigenerational, family owned and operated cattle ranch near Harlowton, MT looking for a hard-working individual to join our team.

 

This is a full-time position and weekends will be required at times.

 

Please note, this is not just a cowboy position. This job will include assisting with all things related to general ranch operations and herd management, including feeding, fencing, haying, working with pivots, farming, transporting cattle, calving, and basic maintenance/mechanic work. We are looking for someone with the attitude that no job is too small. Someone who is willing to listen and respect how things are done here, but willing to present new ideas respectfully as well.

 

The wage package includes a monthly salary, a two bedroom house, paid utilities (electricity, water, and garbage), half a beef per year, contribution to Health Savings Account, and a pickup truck and fuel for ranch work. Pets can be discussed. Base salary starts at $3,000+ per month depending on experience. Professional advancement and additional benefits for dedicated loyal employees.



Families are welcome, but the position is for one full-time person. There are opportunities for work for a spouse in nearby Harlowton or Big Timber. The ranch is located approximately 20 minutes south of Harlowton, and 30 minutes north of Big Timber.

 

Candidates must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.
