Balou has a big kind eye, a kind and friendly personality and impeccable ground manners. He is a finished head horse, a finished ranch horse and a stellar family horse. Balou has been used for all aspects of ranching. He’s great to drag calves on, sort pairs, and has been used for early morning shipping. This horse is rock solid outside if you need to rope and doctor one or load one in the trailer. He is always gentle even on those cold early mornings, and even if he has had ample time off. Balou is steady outside in rough terrain or thick brush, he always comes in clutch for any job! Balou has also been shown in some weekend shows by our 7 and 9 yr old children. They have done outstanding with him in the horsemanship, and ranch pleasure classes. He is quiet around all the chaos and is always mom’s first choice for the kids to grab and go on. We feel like Balou could fit any level or age rider, he is the definition of safe and user-friendly! Wait, there’s more! Balou is a finished head horse that’s been hauled from the #12 down. He scores well, has a smooth, snappy face and is easy to rope on. Balou also has been trail rode by everyone in our family, he crosses water and down timber like the gentleman he is. Balou has also been hauled and ridden through our little town of Canyon. He is traffic-safe and a reliable partner to do any task and go ride anywhere.
