Casper is a really cool horse. He may not be big, at 14.1 hh, but he has a heart the size of Texas and more try than most horses twice his size. He is 7 years old, GRADE, and one of the handiest horses we have had in a while. Casper is old man gentle, currently being used by a 73 year old man with no warm up required. And no fear that he is going to buck you off of do any other silly stuff. When you step up on him, he is all business and ready to work. Casper has spent most of his life on one ranch up in North Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work. He is a cowboys dream, a horse you can do just about anything on. He has drug calves, doctored cattle out in the pasture, worked in the feedyard, ridden pens, sorted pairs, and has even been heeled off of in the arena and started on breakaway. Casper is athletic and quick footed with an excellent stop and neck rein. He has one of the smoothest trots I have ever sat on, one you could ride all day long without getting sore. He will sidepass and work a gate. Casper is good minded and willing, and is the perfect age to go in just about any direction. Use him on the ranch, ride him for pleasure, or take him to the arena and make a performance horse out of him. He is very sure footed and will go up, over or through anything you point him at, and crosses water with no problem. Casper gets along great with other horses and will ride out alone as well as with a group. He has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
