Individual will be the only employee for a 75 head cattle operation located 15 miles north of Emmett, Idaho. The personal qualities we are looking for in this employee, as well as the job description and necessary skills required for this position, are detailed below. Personal qualities we are looking for in this individual: - Self starter. Able to work effectively and efficiently without direct full-time supervision - Neat, organized and takes pride in the quality of the work product - Honest, responsible and attentive to details - Good communication skills, both in person and on the telephone Day-to day duties will include: - Fence maintenance (welding proficiency) - Land management to include weed control, dirt work, mowing, etc. - Irrigation and water management of multiple private reservoirs, irrigation ponds and water lines, siphon tubes, irripods and canvas dams - Cattle work including feeding hay in the winter, providing protein supplementation and management of livestock water systems - General ranch maintenance including welding and tractor work - Light mechanic work including changing oil and filters, maintaining hydraulic hoses and greasing and lubricating machinery Compensation - Total minimum monthly compensation of $4,700 which is based on the following: o A recently renovated 3 bedroom, 1 bath site-built home in a private and picturesque setting is provided as part of the terms of employment. The house is valued at $1,500 per month and is considered “non-cash” compensation to the employee. PLUS o Starting hourly wage of $20-25 per hour (DOE) and employer guarantees a minimum of 40 hours of work per week (more than 40 hours/week is welcome). This equates to a minimum gross cash compensation of $800 per week and $3,200+ per month.
