Maine Invitation 2015 AQHA Buckskin Gelding

Whiskey is his barn name and the favorite one in the barn. He has the most beautiful buckskin color and silver in his mane and tail. Whiskey stands 15.2 hands tall and weighs 1100lbs. He’s great for the beginner kids and adults. Perfect for the whole family. BROKE BROKE and ABSOLUTELY fun to ride.

If you are looking for a lifetime partner to add to your family look no further. Whiskey will take care of the whole family. Whether it be on the trails or in the arena. He has a calm demeanor and loving attitude. He loves to be groomed and absolutely enjoys attention. He greets you at the gate.

The past three years Whiskey spent his days as the first horse for a family. The parents and young kids all trail rode him as beginners starting out. He took care of all of them up and down the trails. Whiskey will cross water, cross logs, go through mud, rough terrain, over bridges and is traffic safe. Since Whiskey has been at my barn, we have used him for lessons ages 4 and up. We have taken Whiskey on multiple trail rides and you couldn’t ask for a safer horse.

Whiskey is just a horse that doesn’t care if he’s in the front, middle, or back of the pack. You can ride in big groups, small groups, and with wagons. He will ride out alone and away from the barn and be dependable. He will pony colts as well as other horses.

Not only is he great out on the trail, but Whiskey has also been shown in Western Pleasure as well as walk/trot classes. He will neck rein with one hand or you can ride him two handed. He is soft in the face, and can ride in something as simple as a halter or a D ring snaffle. He gives to the bit and moves off leg pressure with ease. He has a big stop and will side pass to open gates. Whiskey has a smooth, slow jog and a rocking chair lope to dream for.

Whiskey is currently shod all the way around, but he has nice dark, hard feet and would be a great candidate to go barefoot. He stands great for baths, the farrier, tacking/untacking, and mounting. He gets along great with other horses in the field and easy to catch. He has great stall manners as well and does well in a stall. He loads in and out of the trailer with ease.

Whiskey makes mounting simple as he will stand at a mounting block for you to get on and will stand until asked to move.

Whiskey is a joy to be around and ride. He’s been the barn favorite here. He’s one of those once in a lifetime horses that you can truly enjoy.

Whiskey sells with a certificate of soundness from a licensed veterinarian.
