Looking for an honest, dependable person to assist in daily work on the ranch. We run about 20 Horses mostly broodmares in foal. We breed 2 AQHA Stallions mostly to our own mares. Horse background helpful. We raise about 15 to 20 head of cattle for our own use. Family ranch with owners on site part time. Responsibilities would include. Daily feeding / watering of animals morning and night, minor repairs of heated waterers, corrals, fencing and grounds maintenance including mowing and trimming. We do projects from time to time so mechanically inclined would be a big help. We irrigate about 50 Acres by pivots and wheel lines. We utilize a local farmer to cut, stack and handle all farming. You would check water daily and verify it all is working. Keeping ranch pristine is a must. Organized tools and items in proper inventory. Keep equipment running smoothly, we utilize a local mechanic for repairs as needed. Keeping all equipment washed and clean. We always have plenty to do! Weekly list would be provided by owners as needed on items to do. Good communication skills a must. We would provide a newer small house with utilities, One-bedroom, full bath, kitchen with all appliances and dishwasher, washer, and dryer in home. 1/2 Beef yearly, every other week pay, salary $ depending on experience. One week paid vacation and time off as scheduled with owners. Full-time long-term position! Horse OK would provide corral and feed. Well-mannered dog non aggressive OK as well. The last individual worked for the ranch for 25 years and retired recently. Located 3 miles out of small town in Southern Utah with most amenities. Cedar City, Utah is 18 miles south. Mild Summers - High’s mid 90’s / Winter Lows to 0’s,light snow area but is cold in the winter. Skiing, fishing and hunting, outdoors abound in the area. Great outdoor area!
