Neutered 1+ year old Maremma LGD



Selling due to loss of rented pastures and moving to home with small yard.



We are asking to rehome our 1.5 year maremma boy, Bruce.

He is a good dog, born into working line on a ranch around horses, cows, sheep, goats, and children. Brought him to our farm at 7 months when our old dog passed. Here he has been exposed to cats and chickens as well as our goats and sheep. He is committed to the cause in the classic way an LGD should. Quick on the fence line, sweet on the livestock, always near. A big day time napper (also classic), and big food drive (also classic). At a year and a half (born Jan 2023), he is huge (130), and is still growing! Sweet and loving, playful but has all the intelligence required so that he does listen when called, waits at gates (mostly), sits when told (mostly), knows ‘leave it’, and waits for his dinner by taking a seat or laying down. He expects a ‘good boy’ and a loving pat in the morning and before his meals. Does not care for brushing but will tolerate in small bits. It’s a hard choice, but our other two dogs are ready to retire and he’s young and fearless, stands by his flock, and I know he is too good to be stuck in a small yard. We lost our rented pastures in January, and have sold or butchered most of our flock by now. We are moving and I want him to have the best chance at living what he was born for.



Price negotiable to right home.



You won’t regret it, he’s a great dog, and a great LGD.

We were blindsided or we wouldn’t have added another pup to the pack.
