Description:
My name is John Mark Shudde, and I am a 22-year-old, 4th year college student studying Ranch Management at Texas Tech.



I am looking for a seasonal ranch work and riding position for this upcoming summer, from the middle of May to the middle of August that will keep me in the saddle.



I have a background in cattle ranching with general-to-extensive knowledge and experience with cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. I emphasize low-stress cattle handling methods and have worked for large cow-calf operations in Nebraska and central Texas, as well as day working in eastern Montana.



I am certified in BQA and Artificial Insemenation and have experience in vaxxing, branding, tagging, calving, dehorning, AI, preg checking (palpating and ultrasound) roping, and riding. I have intermediate knowledge of breaking and starting yearlings and two-year-olds, as well as hauling hay, dirt work, shredding, front-end loaders, skid steers, tractors/implements, backhoes, and intermediate dozing work. I am experienced in spotting and spraying for various noxious weeds in northern states (Montana/North Dakota). I can weld and fabricate, have basic plumbing and mechanic skills, and can build any type of fence. I can pilot a drone for pasture/wildlife surveys, doing prescribed burns, photography, and videography. Additionally, I am a hunting guide and a photographer here in West Texas.



I am a quick learner. My main goal for this summer is to gain new skill sets and management practices.
