Description:
Seeking a working Ranch Manager (or couple) to supervise and maintain our 850+ acre homestead, located an hour south of Nashville, Tennessee. We have 4 Horses, 20 Southdown Sheep, 6 cats, and 4 dogs, along with 8 vehicles, RV, and farm and grounds equipment. The farm currently serves as a residence and family retreat for the enjoyment of the principals.



This is a long-term, full-time position for a reliable, responsible, and dependable manager who can see the big picture while ensuring the day-to-day work happens.



Responsibilities:

- Oversee and administer all animal and livestock care and emergency procedures (Horses, Sheep, Dogs, Cats)

- Grounds maintenance - trails, gardens, and bush-hogging fields

- Maintenance of Vehicle and Equipment Care

- Work with Principals to develop Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Emergency Farm and Animal Processes

- Responsible for supervision of vendors on property for improvement projects

- Assist in the acquisition and coordination of vehicles, equipment, or animals

- Maintain Feedstock, inventory, and maintenance supplies.



Qualifications:

- 10 years experience in a relevant field

- Works Independently with good Communication skills

- Proficient and Knowledgeable in Animal Science / Livestock Care

- Proficient in maintenance and use of Farm equipment & basic carpentry

- Good Driving Record; CDL is a plus

- Spanish & English Bi-Lingual is a plus

- Agronomic knowledge is a plus

- Ability to professionally represent the farm in business and environmental areas

- Demonstrate basic understanding of operational planning and financial and human resource management.
