AGRICULTURE INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT

Regular, Classified, 12-month, Full-Time, $4,502-$5,716/ month

Under general supervision of the VPI/CIO and the Agriculture Department Chair and in coordination with Ag faculty and staff, provides instructional and student assistance, assists in facilitating the day to day program operations, assists in the development and maintenance of instructional materials, assists in recruiting prospective students, provides supportive duties including livestock health care, equine reproduction for the various Agriculture activities, and to perform related duties as assigned.  This position serves the Agriculture Department generally but is primarily focused on activities that support equestrian instruction.

 

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

This position assists students and faculty in the Agriculture Department by providing the additional assistance necessary to maintain a safe and productive educational environment. This position could have a variable/flexible work schedule from time to time it may require working some nights and/or weekends some overnight travel throughout the year
