Description:
Elmo is a 14-year-old paint john mule. He is 16.1 hands and gentle as they come. Elmo has been used extensively in hunting outfits in the remote backcountry of NW Colorado. He packs and rides and will go anywhere you point him. Elmo is very surefooted and crosses water without any resistance. He’s been tied to a high line and hobbled at camp.



Elmo neck reins, stops, backs, moves off your leg and is as smooth as they come. He stands quietly for the farrier and does require shoes if being ridden or packed on rocky terrain. Elmo is friendly, easy to catch and hauls well in a stock trailer. He isn’t ear-shy and will let you clip any part of his body.



I have put many miles on Elmo and he has never quit me. I have also used him for light ranch work, such as gathering cattle and checking fences. I have never roped a live cow off of him but I have swung a rope on him. UTD on coggins and vaccinations. This mule is one of a kind and I will be selective as to where he goes. A good home is a must.
