This is one special gelding! I owned his mother and have watched Waylon grow up over the years. I was so impressed by this guy that when my husband’s older gelding needed to semi retire, I needed a bombproof mentality who would take care of my husband for anything from roping to shooting to mounted patrol and sheriff posse work, camp out trail rides, even the championship wagon races in Clinton Arkansas! I needed to feel like no matter what happened around him that he would be safe, and Waylon was the horse I picked! He also just so happened to be grulla and GORGEOUS! He has been in and out of professional training his whole life and trail ridden EVERYWHERE! The beach, the ranch, the swamps, the mountains, gathering cattle, and for the past year he has been in full training with Rick Steed who agreed Waylon is the perfect horse for Jimmy! He has done everything on him above including roping off of him, kids ride him, they even ride DOWN THE HIGHWAY TO TOWN! Traffic, big trucks going by, bridges, water crossings, dogs underfoot, farm equipment, cattle, etc. He has nice ground manners and hauls quiet. etc and NOTHING BOTHERS THIS HORSE! He knows all of the basic schooling in the arena as well and you can ride him with a saddle or bareback, in a bridle one handled or just a halter, or nothing! He is just that good of a laid back guy and so kind. He truly loves people and attention and gets along well with other horses. He usually lives turned out with a small group of other horses but is also quiet in a stall and has absolutely no vices what so ever. He is also completely sound in every way and has had the very best care his whole life. This is not a horse from a sale or one I just met, this is one I have known since the day he was born and even owned his momma. I can’t even express to you what a ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY this gelding is, and you can’t put a price on that! If you come back this summer or this fall or next year and ask for another one like Waylon there will not be another one available like him, not one this seasoned already anyway.

So why is he for sale? Well, after Shining C Jewel was done in the show pen last year and came home to be pregnant and have her foal, Jimmy started riding her and it was immediate love, the same love he felt for Jewel ever since the day she was born! He has had a special connection with her her whole life...
