This person will be responsible for: All aspects of production farming including: planting, herbicide/insecticide application, cultivation, irrigation, harvest and spring and fall tillage. Assisting with all field maintenance and improvement projects. Assisting in the maintenance of machinery and equipment. Accurate information, documentation and quality control of seed corn, herbicide and insecticide applications. Effluent pipeline and pumping record. Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications: Previous farming experience. Commitment to safety and quality culture. Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making. Driven, organized, action-orientated, analytical, and ability to multi-task. High attention to detail. Individual must be team-oriented. Proven professional communication, presentation, persuasion, and customer service skills. This position requires: A valid driver’s license Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering frequently; pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally; crawling and stairs rarely. Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
