Description:
Sombrero Ranches Inc is a family owned and operated horse ranch based in Colorado. Our business includes leasing horses to guest ranches, riding stables, kids’ camps, families and anyone else looking for gentle riding horses to rent.


ISO Cowboy:
We are looking for seasonal or long-term help starting immediately.  Seasonal time frame would be from now through June. We have several locations in Colorado and your time would be spent either in Craig CO or Longmont CO.

A sample list of daily activities might include:
Riding colts, feeding horses, doctoring horses, gathering large pastures and pens on horseback, along with other basic ranch chores.

This is not a trail riding job, this is a working ranch. In our busy spring months, we are often on horseback 6 to 7 days a week. If you are wanting to improve your horsemanship, this job will provide great opportunities as we employ full time shoers, a full time veterinarian, and several experienced horsemen. On that note, this is not a job for a beginner rider with little horse experience, you must be accomplished enough to ride younger horses.

Compensation starts at $2500/month and goes up DOE. There are several options for bonuses including starting and finishing a young horse and horseshoeing.  Bunkhouse housing is provided. This job is best suited for a single person.  


Applicants must have good personal and professional references or complete an in-person interview. This is a ranch with a lot of history, and we have a great cowboy crew.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.
