"Wizard" is 10 years old, 15 hands and 1,200 pounds. He is a great example of how we like them here—𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗬 & 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗬! We are proud to have him in the R.A. Brown Ranch Family & Friends Horse Sale on March 12. He is Lot #11.

First and foremost, Wizard is kind, gentle, dependable and predictable. We trust Wizard enough to put anyone in the saddle. Hadleigh, our 7-year-old daughter loves his fine-tuned handle and how he goes exactly where she points him.

We have put several green riders on Wizard. What is most impressive is how TOLERANT and FORGIVING he is. Even if you pick at him, give him mixed or incorrect cues, he stays quiet and just does what is asked of him. Often, it’s like he just knows what you mean, even if you don’t ask correctly and just does what he knows he is supposed to do. He is really special in that respect.

Wizard was bred and trained by two-time Road to the Horse Champion, four-time AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Champion, Mike Major. Under Mike, Wizard hit the show pen and it shows—he is very confident and accurate in front of judges. Wizard has all the reining maneuvers in place—pretty circles, lead changes, stops and turnarounds.

Wizard has spent lots of time outside working as ranch horse with us. His cutting training makes him really fun to sort on. He walks out, trots smooth and always has his ears up looking for cattle.

It didn’t take long to get Wizard solid in the heading because he is so broke and trainable. He is stout, strong and jackpot-ready.

There are really no holes in this nice all-around gelding. He is located in Weatherford, Texas, and we welcome you to come try him before sale day.
