Description:
Looking to sell an incredible pair of unmarked double mounted spurs by Tom Hunt, with original SC Gallup Leather Straps. Very few of his examples exist today and are an exceptionally rare find. Tom was the uncle of renowned California bit and spur maker A.B. "Abbie" Hunt. Tom operated a blacksmith shop in Arroyo Grande, California from 1887 until 1910 then he moved his blacksmith shop north to a ranch in Gilroy. Tom taught Abbie the craft of bit and spur making and many of his influences are shown today in the work of Abbie Hunt.
