Description:
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our irrigated crop and cattle operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in agricultural management, irrigation systems, and cattle handling. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our farm while working closely with the management team.



Responsibilities:



Crop Management:



Oversee the planning and execution of crop planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities.

Monitor crop health, implement pest control measures, and manage irrigation systems efficiently.



Cattle Operations:



Coordinate and execute daily cattle management activities, including feeding, health checks, and implement herd health protocols and work closely with veterinarians as needed.

Ensure proper handling and transportation of cattle.



Irrigation Management:



Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water use efficiency.

Troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment as needed.

Collaborate with the irrigation team to develop and implement irrigation schedules.



Team Leadership:



Supervise and lead a team of farm workers and laborers.

Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.



Record Keeping:



Maintain accurate records of crop and cattle activities.

Generate reports on crop yields, cattle performance, and operational efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.



Qualifications:



Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in agricultural management, with a focus on irrigated crop and cattle operations.



Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, crop production, and cattle handling techniques.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Familiarity with modern farm equipment and technology.
