Description:
14.1hh. This is a nice, broke gelding that’s fun to ride. Neck-reins, moves off your legs, rollbacks, and has a good stop. Don’t let his size fool you, he’ll keep up with bigger horses and leave them in the dust. Sylvester is very athletic and has a lot of speed. He is lightly patterned on the barrels and has been hauled to a handful of rodeos. We were told he was used to ranch on, but we don’t do much roping and never tested that out. But he has good cow sense and has been used for some novice team penning. He would make a great penning and sorting horse, omoksee horse, or with a little work has the potential to be a great heel and breakaway horse. Not a mean bone in his body, very personable and the first horse to come up to you in the pasture. He is very responsive, quick on his feet and has more go than whoa, so not for a timid or novice rider, but is good with time off and doesn’t get fresh or offer to buck. Sylvester rides just as nice outside the arena and has been used to guide trails the last few seasons. He is good with his feet, been shod, stands tied, and loads and hauls good. He does have a small scar on his nose with a bump but it is cosmetic only and causes him no issues. Looks like a halter was left on him to long as a colt. Sylvester is up to date on worming and vaccinations and is just a really nice all-around gelding ready for whatever you want to try your hand at.
