Flat Tops Wilderness Guides (FTWG) is currently hiring for the 2024 season.



We are a horseback wilderness outfitter operating in the 240,000-acre Flat Tops Wilderness Area. We are one of the largest wilderness outfitters in the state. We offer fully guided hunts, drop camps, guided fishing trips, and summer pack trips. Our headquarters are adjacent to a USFS trailhead and endless public lands. Our facilities include an immaculate log hunting lodge, a lighted/covered barn and pack station, and a communal employee bunkhouse. All positions include grocery and lodging. We take great pride in our livestock, our gear, our team, our facilities, and our customer service!





Job Description -- Packer/Wrangler/Guide





The role of Packer/Wrangler/Guide is suited for those with a passion for riding and packing horses/mules in a backcountry setting. You will live and work in a remote environment. Preference will be shown to candidates with strong horsemanship skills and a desire to be in the outdoors. We often work long hours in inclement weather. Applicants should be reliable, self-motivated, and resilient. FTWG seeks employees with a strong work ethic, exceptional moral character, and the ability to adapt and work well with others. We value teamwork. This is a seasonal position (June 1 - December 1), but start/end dates are somewhat flexible.
