Shag is the cutest handmade, 14.3 hand gelding that our whole family has had the pleasure of riding and enjoying. He is the pick for local sortings and trail classes here around the house and is ridden by all ages. Shag has a fancy one-handed neck rein and guides around with the slightest cue from the rider but is also forgiving enough for the smallest kids to learn on. We have taken Shaq to all the local brandings and he handles all the noises and commotion like a pro. He has the best personality, trailers and clips like a seasoned horse and is guaranteed sound and safe. Shaq rides out on a big loose rein; he is soft in the face and moves off leg cues. He stays soft on your hands, picks up both his leads, side passes and has a smooth stop. Shaq carries the flag, drags tarps, crosses bridges, creeks and nothing ever seems to get a rise out of him. He Is safe and laid back enough for the anyone in the family to enjoy. Nothing ever fazes this classy gelding and no amount of time off will ever make him get fresh. It’s been many years since we have had our hands on one this kind and forgiving and we absolutely guarantee that you will enjoy him. Shaq glides across the ground smooth as glass. He only wants to please and is always ready for a days job. Shag is frequently turned out with other horses and when you walk out in the pasture, he will run straight to you and stick his head in the halter. He has a heart of gold!
