My name is Gussie Keetch, owner of Shining Cross Performance Horses. With 7 years of experience training horses for the public, I am knowledgable when it comes to nurturing the talents of your beloved horse. Having grown up riding in Utah, my passion for horses has been a lifelong journey. With a diverse background that includes working alongside esteemed trainers in cutting and reining disciplines, I bring a deep understanding of different training methods to provide exceptional horse training services.



- Range of Services -

At Shining Cross Performance Horses, I offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each horse and rider. Whether you’re interested in performance training, basic or advanced training and tune-ups, intro to reining, intro to cutting/cow work, or foundational training for any discipline, I have the expertise to guide you and your horse towards success.



- Lessons for All Ages -

In addition to providing training services, I also offer lessons for both adults and youth. Whether you’re a beginner looking to establish a solid foundation or an experienced rider seeking to refine your skills, I am here to help. My patient and supportive teaching approach will assist you in achieving your equestrian goals, boosting your confidence, improving your horsemanship, and fostering a deeper connection with your equine partner. A versatile skill set allows me to adapt to your specific goals and aspirations. With access to the facility’s indoor arena, you can continue lessons regardless of weather conditions. Lesson rates are as follows: General Lessons - $50, Cow/Flag Lessons - $75.



- Training Excellence -

When it comes to training, I focus on fundamentals and footwork to ensure your horse is as easy to get along with as possible. With my background in cowhorse, cutting, and reining disciplines, I have the knowledge and experience to develop a well-rounded and versatile horse. The facility includes outdoor and indoor arenas, flag and cattle, and access to large allotments of land with a variety of terrain providing ample opportunities for your horse to experience and navigate different outdoor riding conditions. I take pride in keeping my horses well groomed and in good body condition, and I am happy to accommodate your horse’s feeding needs. Hay is included in the training price, while all farrier, vet services and grain/supplements are at the expense of the owner. Training fees are $1,200 per month.



- Therapeutic Services -

In addition to training and lessons, I also offer therapeutic services for your horse’s well-being. My Cold Laser therapy sessions and Bemer sessions aid in reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, and decreasing muscle soreness. Bemer sessions are great for recovery, muscle loosening, and faster healing from injuries. Cold Laser therapy can work wonders for healing traumas, wounds, tendons, and other injuries. With consistent sessions, the lasers can cut recovery time down by 1/3. Prices for therapeutic sessions are as follows: Bemer - $40 per session, Cold Laser - 5 min/$20, 10 min/$30, 15 min/$40, 20 min/$50.
