He is a young gelding in his prime with a great personality and mindset that makes him a pleasure to be around and ride. Skipper is well trained, quiet and stays gentle. He has been used on the ranch in all aspects of ranch work and has a lot of miles outside. He has seen every inch of the ranch and performed every chore imaginable; from the pasture to the pens checking fences, gathering cattle, doctoring cattle in the pasture and sorting in the pens. He is a gelding that will gladly go to work for you every day if you ask him to, but he does not have to have a daily job. Skipper’s exposure on the ranch makes him an ideal trail partner. He is happy to take a leisurely ride on a peaceful trail or head out for something more adventurous and pick through the back woods or rough country. He has hunted cattle in the thick brush, in the woods and in some rough country and he will cross or pick through anything you point him at. He will not panic in a tight spot or get you in a bind. From the everyday cowboy to the daring trail rider or those who prefer to take a relaxing ride, he will fit! Due to his gentle nature, he will also fit a family that needs a horse that different ages and ability levels can ride. Skipper is an easy keeper and has no special maintenance needs or requirements. He sells to be completely sound in every way. He has absolutely no holes in any way, and you’re guaranteed to enjoy him. He is one of the easiest going and good natured geldings to grace our barn with his presence.
