Description:
If you are looking for a nice horse to ride on the ranch, take on trails, or pack friends around when they come for a visit, then take a look at Nina. She is a pretty, well built bay appendix bred mare (quarter horse/thoroughbred), 15.2 hh with a good sized foot, plenty of bone and some chrome too. Nina has an excellent one handed neck rein, will sidepass and work off your leg, will ride collected or on a loose rein, and has a very good stop. She has been ridden English and western and rides in a snaffle but prefers a bitless bridle because she is so light. Nina is excellent on trails, brave and sure footed, and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problems, and isn’t spooky. She would make an excellent drill team horse or playday horse, with the way she handles. Nina is easy to catch, stands quietly tied, and perfect for the shoer. She rides quietly on a loose rein but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. She is good on both leads, will do flying lead changes, and has nice, smooth gaits. She is not mare-ish and can be ridden next to, pastured with, and hauled with geldings or other mares without an issue. Nina rides well in both the arena and the pasture, and a handy kid could have a lot of fun on her. She will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding. She has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $2500.
