Description:
This cute little buckskin is a fantastic trail horse, one you know is always going to take care of you when you are out riding. Scamper is an 18 year old gelding, 14.2hh and very nicely built. He has been primarily used to ride on trails and through the pasture, and we have worked some cattle on him (but have not roped any). He is very sure footed and will go up, over or through anything you point him at, and crosses water with no problem. Scamper rides quietly on a loose rein, never going any faster than you want him to, but perfectly willing to step into a trot or lope when asked. He has a good neck rein, stops easily, is good on both leads, and has a nice smooth trot. Scamper has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, but he can be a little spooky on the ground at times. He gets along great with other horses, will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding.
