He stands 15.2 with great conformation and a lot of bone under him. He’s great minded and very kind. He is suitable for the grandparents, the grandkids and everyone in between to enjoy. He’s broke to death and is a blast to ride. He’s been used on a ranch for most tasks including gathering, penning, stripping pairs, scouting for strays, roping and tagging calves, checking windmills, loading trucks and ponying some colts. He has a heart the size of Texas and won’t ever refuse you if you just show him what you want. He is not a horse you have to ride every day. He is the kind that stays broke and gentle. He stands tied quietly and tacks up easily with no cinchiness or problems. He’ll ride off easy even away from the pens or the barn.  Simon is also a fantastic trail horse. He’ll ride out alone just as quietly as he will in a group. He’s been hauled and ridden recently at The National Grasslands and Dinosaur Valley Park. He will cross water and likes to stop and play in it. He will maneuver up and down hills. He will go through rough terrain. He rides down the road and isn’t spooky of traffic. He’s also been ridden around motorcycles, bikes, joggers, ATV’s, tractors, bulldozers, backhoes, dogs and donkeys and isn’t phased by any of it.  He’s been ridden around our horse drawn carriages and not scared of them. He’s been to the Fort Worth Stockyards and ridden down there among all the commotion and people and is as cool as a cucumber. We’ve carried a flag on him and he would make a great drill team horse. This is a big fancy horse that you can do about anything you want to on. The one thing he doesn’t like is barrels. He was trained on them by someone that didn’t really know what they were doing and he’s just not happy in that discipline. That was perfectly fine for us because we don’t give a flip about running barrels. He loves the ranching and cow horse lifestyle. Honestly he’s a horse that just loves life. He has a cool personality and will come up to you anywhere. He is truly a very special horse with a heart of gold. He will only be sold the greatest of homes. Simon has absolutely no bad habits or vices.
