Description:
I purchased Theodore, Teddy for short, as a weanling along with 2 1/2 brothers of his. He was born out on pasture and weaned around 6 months of age. He has spent most of his life on pasture. He stayed in a paddock this spring when I started working with all 3 of them at the end of May. Teddy has been super gentle and easy to work with from day 1. He stands for the farrier like a champ. He was ridden on a line in a round pen 1-2 times then I just started riding him in the round pen with a halter and lead rope. He quickly moved on to being rode in a small arena. He was started with a snaffle bit. He now rides out nicely in a larger arena and has been out riding through cows. He has never offered to buck or do anything silly. He has more whoa than go, but will move out when you ask him. He has a current negative Coggins and is UTD on his vaccinations. He gets along great with other horses. My reason for selling is because I enjoy working with young colts and letting other people enjoy them as well. I am willing to hold the gelding for up to 30 days after sale day to arrange transport. I am also willing to travel up to 150 miles to arrange delivery. He acquired a small cut on his right forehead. It was sutured and shouldn’t leave anything more than a little scar.
