Ginger began her journey as a broodmare, but in 2022, her life took a new turn when we welcomed her into our family. Since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to transforming her into a rideable partner ready for her next adventure. Ginger’s transformation is a testament to patience and dedication. We embarked on a comprehensive journey, starting from the ground up, and have utilized the renowned Downunder Horsemanship method to shape her into the horse she has become. As of September 1st, 2023, Ginger boasts an impressive 90 days under saddle, and our commitment to her continued development will persist until she finds her perfect home. Ginger is not just a horse; she’s a well-rounded, versatile partner with a list of attributes that sets her apart. She excels in essential equine ground manners, easily loading and unloading, clipping, tying, and highlining. She’s easy to worm and vaccinate, and her cooperative nature makes bath time a breeze. Her gentle disposition around people on the ground is truly heartwarming. Living in our diverse environment, Ginger has been exposed to various stimuli, from motorcycles and chickens to 4-wheelers and large farm equipment rumbling along our road. In addition to her admirable temperament, Ginger is an easy keeper with solid feet. Remarkably, we’ve never found the need to shoe her, a testament to her natural soundness. Standing at 15hh, she possesses a drop-dead gorgeous head that’s sure to turn heads wherever she goes. Ginger’s versatility extends beyond the arena. Her adventures took her to the dunes in Moses Lake, WA, showcasing her adaptability and willingness to explore new terrain under saddle. During a road trip to Wenatchee, while I was team sorting, I was able to expose her to cattle after the competition. She walked among them, guiding each one to the other pen with ease, displaying no signs of fear or nervousness. Her interaction with cows revealed her potential for cattle work. I have also ponied her on a number of trail rides when we first purchased her, and she impressed us with her level head and willingness to go right along with us. Our veterinarian examined Ginger’s teeth in June 2022, estimating her age to be around 10-11 years old. She’s been kept up to date with vaccinations, worming, dental care, as well as a current health certificate and brand inspection. Since our acquisition of Ginger in June 2022, she has remained sound, with no known soundness issues. While Ginger does have some superficial dings on her legs, likely acquired during her time in a broodmare herd – all shown in the video and photos. The video highlights her conformation and beauty. She has thrived in both outdoor and stall settings, adapting seamlessly to her environment. Ginger is now ready for her next chapter, and she deserves nothing less than a daily, consistent training program that will allow her to further develop her impressive skills. She’s a GREEN broke horse and requires an experienced rider due to her late start under saddle. Additionally, her excellent ponying abilities make her an ideal candidate for packing in the mountains once she has been exposed to pack gear. To accommodate potential buyers, we’re happy to answer any questions you may have about Ginger. We’re even willing to hold her for up to 10 days at no charge and assist with transportation, including hauling within a 150-mile radius. Pre-purchase exams are welcome at the buyer’s expense, and we can connect you with local veterinarians who make farm calls.
