Broke broke



2015 aqha 15.1-2 hand grullo gelding. Hollywood dun it, poco bueno, and Blackburn bred with all the chrome and eye appeal a person could ask for! Has done EVERY aspect of ranch and sale barn work. Gets gates, hobble broke, steps up to something for you to get on, lowers his head for haltering/bridling on cue, good for farrier and has had shoes. Knows all his flexation/pressure points/yielding/counter yielding/ect but isnt a seasoned arena horse, doesnt take much to tune him up in one though. Has seen a ton of miles in every terrain imaginable and roped a lot of calves. Used to every type of branding: nord fork, wrestle, and head and heel. Easy to position where ya want while roping. Can step off while pasture roping to doctor something but hasnt done that extensively and I never have tied off (Im too chicken). Hes very smooth and has a good amount of cow to him! Hes been behind a roping dummy for the heading and heeling side of things. Would have great head horse potential. He has taught 2 kids how to work cows, rope, and get gates but I am not listing him as a kids horse. He is not a dead head as he has some sensitivity/feel, buttons, forward moving horse, as well as some cow to him. Hes roped colts for halter breaking and ponied them down the trail without issue. Hes been on overnight wagon trains without issue as well, even in different states. Walked through a tunnel and on rock trails in canyon de chelly Arizona without any hesitation as a 4 yr old. Been in parade without issue. Good with water, going through brush, and fine with dogs around his feet/along for the ride. He is used to motorized vehicles zooming around, ground and air ones. He has never taken a lame or off step in his life. Always been healthy.



His vices are that he can be hard to catch out to pasture (have to get him to face you and if you take a step back then he will join up and either stand for you to walk up or will walk up to you. Sometimes he will let ya walk right up though), he hates fly spray/mane and coat spray, and hates baths. No matter how many times hes been subjected to them, he never gets any better about either (antsy feet and nervous but wont pull back).



He is mostly blind in right eye. He still can see shadows at this time. Hasn’t really affected his ability to work, rider just needs to pay attention to help him if getting gates or going through a tight spot. He’s very easy to maneuver around with leg/seat cues. He does well if you let him know you’re on that side or approaching that side. When I’m using him I put dex in it, a vet prescribed salve thats very inexpensive that goes on the eye to help if it gets weepy. He is amazing about letting you pry his eye open and squeeze some salve on his eyeball.



This horse has NEVER bucked, reared, or tried to run away. He has twice ever in his life done a couple humps after sitting a really long time (once was bareback going into a lope and once after hopping over a creek 2 minutes into a ride on a super cold morning). He is a go where you point and very willing to please gelding. He rides to the level of his rider.



Downsized our cattle herd and I just had a baby this spring. Good home/the right fit a MUST.
