Description:
Farm hand position on a small Warmblood horse breeding farm.

Qualified candidate will have well rounded horse and farm/ranch knowledge, be

skilled at maintaining board and hot tape fence, keep farm equipment running.

Candidate must be comfortable taking direction from, and working with, a woman.

Handling sensitive Warmblood broodmares, foals, and weanlings is a big part of

the job. Following feeding and handling protocols is required.

Must be able to buck hay and lift heavy items.

The job is very detail oriented. Direction will be clear, but we are loathe to

micromanage!

Daily, weekly, and as needed chores will be clearly laid out.

Duties include daily feeding and cleaning paddocks, keeping the farm neat and

tidy.

If something needs to be fixed, let us know right away.

Helping with random, and possibly cockamamy projects around the farm.

The ability to be keen and aware of your surroundings and situation is paramount.

Knowing the concept of hustle, and when it’s required.

Sorry, but no dogs. We have three farm dogs that don’t take to outsiders, no

wiggle room on this.

One horse is doable.

Five days a week. Compensation includes housing and utilities.

The house is one bedroom, so one person, or a couple would be ideal.

Location is outside of Sisters, Oregon on a very quiet, beautiful farm. There are

lots of opportunities for other work in the area.

Please provide references from previous employers.

Job to start October 1, or possibly earlier.
