Description:
Champ is a 15hh 9-year-old AQHA registered gelding. Champ is home raised he is out of a mare that I grew up tying goats, breakaway roping, and heeling off of. He is sired by Prelude to a Kiss who is off the race track and whom I owned since he was 4 yr old. Champ is a very kind soul he loves attention, is easy to catch, and a smooth comfortable ride. He is bred to run and run he can but he is very level-headed and will stay in whatever gate you ask of him. Champ has been used in all aspects of ranch life from trailing cattle up the mountain to sorting in the corral, roping and doctoring out in the pasture as well as roping in the branding pen (both snag n drag and head n heel setups). Champ crosses water and will maneuver whatever terrain you ask of him, he is a very nice ranch horse, I think if he had his preference he would prefer to go to a rodeo home and live more of a pampered life. He is patterned on the barrels and has been lightly hauled, I also believe he would make someone an outstanding head horse. With work and life, I just haven’t had the time to start him. Champ can be tight when fresh so I do not tie him solid when saddling him. I will be completely open and honest with any interested parties so feel free to contact me for more information.
