Description:
Pep is the whole package of a gentle, fancy, trained gelding with his whole life ahead of him. He’s got good looks, good breeding, and a lot of talent. Pep stands 15.2hh, has big feet, solid bone, a soft eye, and a people loving personality. He is the same gentle horse every day you saddle him, has never offered to get a hump in his back or do any funny business. Pep has been used extensively outside, crosses whatever you point him at and stands tied patiently if you need to leave him. He is fancy broke, easy to ride one handed, and operates for riders of most any level. Pep is an outstanding head horse that’s ready to haul to the jackpots and has a couple years left in the futurities as well. He scores well, breaks flat, can really run, and has a snappy face. However, he will also idle down for a lower number and stay controlled through the entire run. He has been headed on by various riders from 13-70 years old and from a #3 up. He adapts well to each rider’s individual needs. Pep has a way about him that always makes you feel safe when you’re on him but can easily step up and be fancy for the experienced riders. Pep willingly rides for the youngsters and keeps them comfortable doing whatever their fun choice is for the day. He will side pass to open/close gates, spin correctly, slide, lope smooth circles on a loose rein and ride quietly anywhere you ask him to go. Pep does have a lump on his throatlatch from getting bit by another horse as well as a lump/scar on the inside of his left hind fetlock. Both are cosmetic and cause him no issues. I have pictures of both and x-rays available of the fetlock. Don’t miss out on this special 4-year-old that has an entire lifetime to please you.
