""Frogman"" is a barn favorite here with us. He is the gelding that is always at the gate, ready to meet you for whatever task that day may bring. He is always good-natured, willing, and stays gentle under any circumstance. He is extremely versatile, able, and incredibly gentle. Frogman wears many hats and wears them all very well. He is a finished and dependable ranch horse, a finished heel horse, a reliable and safe trail horse. He is suitable for both youth and adult riders and can accommodate any ability level.

Frogman has gained a world of experience being used on the ranch. He has been involved in every aspect of ranch work, making him an outstanding horse. He has doctored calves, sorted pairs, drug calves to the branding fire, run down cattle, and handled himself well with a protective mother cow at the end of a rope. He pulls well to load one in the trailer. When it comes to being a dependable partner on the ranch, he is as solid as they come.

Frogman has also been regularly hauled for heeling. He is a finished horse who is easy to get along with and operate. He is solid in the box, scores well, and works as expected in the field. He has plenty of run, but also rates great, making him suitable for ropers of various skill levels. He adjusts well to his rider’s ability and will take care of a lower-numbered roper or hustle for a higher-numbered roper. No matter your ability level in the roping pen, you will be pleased with his performance.

In addition to his performance and athletic abilities, Frogman is an incredibly trustworthy trail mount. Thanks to his experience on the ranch, he has been exposed to various types of terrain and encounters you may come across on the trail. He willingly crosses water, remains calm in thick brush and wooded areas, and handles his feet well while navigating tricky spots. He can ride out alone or in a group, and he is comfortable anywhere within the group. He has no issues with barn or buddy sourness and is user-friendly in every way.

We have also used Frogman for our Texas Youth Ranch Rodeos in both the peewee and intermediate divisions. He remains calm amidst commotion, loudspeakers, banners, and general event chaos. Frogman is an easy keeper, great for the farrier, always easy to catch, and a joy to be around. You do not have to be a cowboy to ride this horse. He is just as happy to carry kids on the trail as he is to go to work, and vice versa. He sells as a 100% sound horse with no special care or maintenance needs. In fact, he’s one of the easiest horses to care for and keep that we’ve ever had. Everything about him is easy and user-friendly. This is a gelding you can saddle up and trust every time, regardless of the time of day or the task at hand. You will be proud to swing a leg over him and have him in your barn.
