Description:
Our cattle health team plays an integral role in our mission of feeding the world high quality, safe, sustainable beef. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about ensuring our cattle are at optimal health, while also driving a positive team culture with a focus on safety, communication, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate would possess high communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop a successful team.







This person will be responsible for:







Supervising, coordinating, and delegating the Cattle Health personnel and operations, including: promoting teamwork, assisting with employee growth and development, partnering with Org Development on recruiting and hiring activities, ensuring company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced, coaching and counseling, and maintaining efficiency of personnel to maximize production goals.



Coordinating with cattle operations managers and supervisors weekly and daily on workload planning and scheduling, based on business needs and workforce planning.



Leading the on-the-job training and education for the cattle health team, including cattle handling and equipment operation.



Assisting area supervisors and managers in the supervision of other cattle production teams, as needed, as well as working within and beside the teams as business needs arise.



Reviewing and discussing quality assurance information and ensuring daily reports are reviewed for accuracy of data collected.



Driving a culture of safety, animal welfare, quality, and continuous improvement across all teams and locations.



Serving all customers, both internally and externally, with a positive, professional, respectful, and courteous attitude with honesty and integrity.



Coordinating area maintenance and equipment repair projects, including monitoring progress for efficiency.







Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:







Strong working knowledge of Cattle Health protocols and treatment codes.



Previous leadership experience.



Previous feedlot experience preferred.



Cattle handling knowledge and experience (Beef Quality Assurance).



Commitment to safety and quality culture.



Intermediate to advanced horsemanship skills.



Exceptional ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.



Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.



High attention to detail.



Must be team-oriented.







This position requires:







Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.



Exerting 50-100 pounds of force rarely; 25-50 pounds of force occasionally; 10-20 pounds occasionally. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping occasionally; kneeling/crouching rarely.







Compensation Details:







$19.00-$23.00 per hour
