Description:
Padlock Ranch Company is looking for a full-time cowboy on our Gross and Redman Unit near Wyola, MT.



The Gross and Redman Unit runs approximately 1700 first calf heifers and 600 mature cows in the Wolf Mountains east of Wyola, Montana on the Crow Indian Reservation.



Sheridan, WY and is the nearest major town and is approximately 30 miles away. Billings, MT is 102 miles to the Northeast.



This person would be part of a three man team responsible for the day to day cow work and other ranch related duties on the ranch unit. We also share help between the other ranch units at times. While there is a significant horseback component to this job, this person will be expected to be able to perform all other ranch related tasks as well. This person would need to be competent working both alone and in a crew setting.



Requires a good attitude, above average horseback and stockmanship skills, 3-5 years of verifiable ranch related work experience with references, the ability to shoe your own string of horses, and a clean driving record with no DUI’s. Experience range calving first calf heifers would be preferred.



Compensation includes salary, housing with utilities, insurance covering employee and family after 90 days of full-time employment, eligibility for participation in 401k with employer match after 1 year full-time employment, company truck and trailer for ranch use, and the ability to have up to 6 personal horses for ranch use.



Dogs are allowed at the discretion of the Unit Manager, as long as they are well mannered and under control.
