Description:
Summer position at a dude ranch in beautiful mountain location. Room and on-property board are included in your employment, food is the best in the business, and the staff culture is wholesome and energetic.

* The Wrangler position requires taking guests on trail rides through the mountains and teaching them horsemanship, the care of a herd of 60+ horses, some light cow-work, tending our herd of yaks, teaching guests to rope and crack bullwhips (if you don’t know how, we’ll teach you how we want you to teach our guests). Our wrangler crew of 8-10 rotate through duties, chores, and fence work, some weeks may involve taking care of some of the K-12 kids.

*Maintenance work involves greeting the guests, taking them on morning hikes, landscaping, pool care, vehicle care, building and carpentry projects, building and maintaining different kinds of fencing, some remodel-type projects, etc.

*Housekeepers maintain the cleanliness of the buildings, turn the ranch over on a weekly basis, and may be rotated through morning hikes with the guests and/or caring for younger children (ages 3-5), leading them around on horseback, etc.



FOR THESE POSITIONs: if you do not know particulars of the job, we will teach you. We want service-minded and friendly staff who are willing to learn. We all work as a team, here, and we want you to be of service to your fellow staff members as much as to the guests. If you can bring that mindset with you, it might just be the most amazing summer of your life.
