He’s that handy size horse standing 15 hands everyone is searching for. He is a tried and true 100% real deal ranch horse. He is one of those hard to find horses that is safe for everyone on your ranch from the kids to grandpa. He is full of cowboy manners and acts like a gentleman. He’s a pawpaw’s ranch horse that is fancy enough to step up and be the cow bosses main mount too. He is handy at all tasks including gathering, penning, moving, sorting pairs, roping, doctoring sicks, dragging calves to the fire, loading trucks and ponying colts. He’s cool to go long trot across big pastures scouting for strays. He is a ranchers best asset because he’s always ready for any task large or small even on the coldest days. Pull him up and go. He has a smooth easy handle and you can turn him on and off like water. He’s been ridden by novice guests on the ranch and you can count on him to take care of his rider. He’s been used in a feed yard and will open and close gates all day long. He’s one for the serious rancher but gentle enough for the weekend warrior business man too.

He’s been hauled and used for ranch rodeos. Haul him to the ranch sortings and win yourself check. He settles in quiet at new places and will eat and drink good away from home. He is quiet and comfortable riding in the arena and will walk, trot, lope as asked. You can track and rope the dummy on him. Rhett would make someone an awesome horse for ranch versatility. Another thing this horse would be good at would be the ranch riding classes.

If you’re not a cowboy or a rancher but you are an avid trail rider no worries because Rhett is a fantastic trail horse and is the perfect horse for you. He is like a mountain goat and blazes rocky trails, goes up and down hills and crosses water like a champ. He is perfect going over logs and bridges. He’s been ridden around ATV’s, bicycles, tractors, dozers, joggers and dogs and takes it all in stride without issue. He will tie on a picket line and stand quietly. We’ve ridden him in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The kiddos can ride him wherever they want to on the ranch or on trail rides without you having to worry about them. He’s super sweet and you don’t have to worry about your kids around him on the ground. Rhett might be in a plain brown wrapper but he is a beautiful horse and best of all he has a kind heart and willing attitude and is safe and that is worth more than color any day. He absolutely loves his people. He stands for the farrier, ties, bathes, loads and hauls like a gentleman.
