There’s some that are so good they’re hard to write about, you just don’t know where to start...

Pickles is him. A big broke gelding in a 42” body. He’s as wide as he is tall and doesn’t lack for shape.



This is a good pony and I mean a real one. He is one of the brokest and most enjoyable ponies I’ve ever had the pleasure of riding. He has a personality the size of Texas and will melt your heart.



Specs….

6 years old

42” tall (10.2 hands) seems bigger because of how thick he is!



Who will he fit? He is not your 2 year old’s first pony. He can and will babysit, but he’s so much more than that! He’s a working man. Best suited for a kid ready for a step up from their first pony that has some want to and confidence to go get something done. He necks reins honestly, trots and lopes with ease when asked, has a great turn around and a big stop. He catches both leads and will lope circles…essentially a big broke horse in a more compact package.



What has he done? He loves playday events. He will do the patterns slow or add speed, but he does know them and eats them up. He is just as good out in the open country on the ranch or a trail ride as he is in the arena. He loves cattle and is super fun to gather and sort on. He actually has some cow to him and will turn back in front of one. He is a fantastic all around just saddle and go type of guy.



Is he gentle? Yes he’s gentle, but he does have some eye to him. Every so often he will look at something he’s not sure about, but that is all he just looks. He does not buck, he’s does not run off, he does not kick or bite. He is a sweet and gentle soul with some life and a huge personality! To know him is literally to love him.



Care…. What care? He’s the easiest keeper in the world! He’s great for the farrier and is a gentleman to trim. Make sure he’s got some hay and he’s good to go. No extra or special requirements.



Extras… He stands tied like a gentleman. Trailers great. Bathes well. Gets along with others in a herd setting. We keep him in a large pen/trap and he is easy to catch.
