Description:
Our farm is located in Northern Nevada, approx. 14 miles North of Battle Mountain. We farm about 2300 acres of quality dairy hay, and have 19 pivots.

You will be responsible for all aspects of haying, including running swathers, raking hay, baling and hauling hay including rodent control.

Knowledge of pivot operations and irrigation, machinery maintenance, mechanical ability, welding, and chemical application a plus.

Assistant Farm Manager, with the help of the owner, will manage all aspects of the farming operation as well as lining out other employees to make sure jobs are getting finished in a timely manner. Once the daily operations have started, you would be expected to work with others or alone to accomplish the days tasks. You will need to conduct yourself in a kind and respectful manner and use clean language. No use of drugs, tobacco or alcohol. Applicant must be motivated, trustworthy and honest. We are a Christian (LDS) family owned farm.

We are looking for a long term commitment that may turn in to full management position in the future.

Expect to work longer hours during haying season.

Willing to pay competitive wage based on your qualifications and experience.

We offer Workers Comp,as well as housing and utilities, beef and on farm work truck.
