From english to western, Rio does it all with ease and class. He has also been trained in liberty and is broke to drive single or double! With uncomplicated buttons, Rio side passes, pivots on his haunches and backs with ease. He is soft in the mouth and supple in the rib cage. Rio knows his leads, seamless walk, trot, and canter transitions, basic lateral dressage movements and has amazing flying lead changes. He will collect on the bridle, lope on a loose rein, or even bridleless. Rio is stunning under english tack and does it elegantly. Rio has also spent some time jumping, and really enjoyed it. I have personally used Rio out on the ranch for multiple ranch activities. From halter breaking colts to dragging calves to the fire. Rio is up for a full day of work. Point him anywhere you want to go with no hesitation, and he will go with confidence. He is 100% traffic and trail safe; semis, cars and trains do not even phase this big guy! A little trick that is so beneficial for when you leave his halter back at the barn! He also lays down, sits, smiles, and side passes to the mounting block or fence when mounting!
