If you’ve been on the hunt for a solid, reliable, and honest individual…we’ve found your horse! Chapo is a direct import from Mexico. When we say he’s been more miles than most vehicles, it’s not an understatement. Chapo was used in Mexico to pack the kids to and from school. He would stand tied all day at the tying rail and safely transport kids back home. He was also an A string ranch horse for the ranch hands to go catch Maverick cattle on. Chapo has a beautifully smooth jig trot, rides with a big drape in the reins, and never gets stirred up. He will watch a cow and is fun to rope on. We genuinely don’t think there’s anything this gelding hasn’t encountered. Whether you’re 5 or 105, Chapo will fit you. He’s been left off MONTHS at a time. Each time you catch him, you’ll never have to worry about him being ornery or flighty. He hasn’t been under the bright lights of the showing world, but anybody who can hold the reins can go enjoy a ride on Chapo. He’s one handed broke and will literally meet you at the gate to catch him. Chapo is great to bathe, shoe, saddle, bridle, haul, tie, etc. He’s got the patience of Job and tolerates everything with a happy attitude. You can ride Chapo once a week, once a month, or once a year…it makes him no difference. He will catch both of his leads, is very sure footed, will ride in a group or out by himself. He gets along great with other horses and is one of those horses you can genuinely TRUST. Chapo has never had any soundness issues and comes with a clean PPE. He stands approximately 14.2 is 11 years old and weighs 1100 lbs. He is heavy boned, black footed, and an absolute pleasure to have around.
