Checkers is an adorable black POA gelding. He’s an awesome pony and suitable for beginner kids. He will take care of your little one. He’s broke enough to be fun for experienced kids as well. He is super easy for them to guide around. He will stop when asked. He is stout made and big enough for a small adult to ride also.

He’s been trail ridden a lot and goes wherever the kids point him. He will go thought thickets. He will cruise up and down hills easily. He will cross water like a champ. The kids can go swimming on him in the pond. He will go over obstacles and bridges. He’s seen wildlife on the trails and not really worried about them. He’s been ridden around tractors, ATV’s, dogs, bicycles and joggers and just takes it all in stride. He’s comfortable around chickens, donkeys and llamas.

The kids can ride him out to help dad gather and push cows. He’ll cruise right along with the big boys. They can help load trucks on him. You can know the kids will be safe to take off alone looking for strays on him. He’s also the perfect gentleman to lead line a tiny tot on. He’ll pony right beside moms horse all over the ranch or on trail rides. You can also take him to a playday and use him for the peewee leadline classes.
