Description:
This saddle is all original, made by N. Porter in 1965. It was made for Henry Tyree. From what I know it was later sold to the man I bought it from, Able Aragon. I don’t know much about Mr. Tyree, but I do know in his prime ole Able was a force to reckon with. Able was a calf roper and a bull dogger when he was chasing gold and loose women and he did it all on this rig. The leather sits on a Mansfield tree which anyone stepping off can appreciate. Now this saddle is in good enough shape to use if it had a new wool lining slapped on, but I know there is someone like me who likes the history in all this and would love to have this on their wall to appreciate. Either way this saddle needs a new home, I’ve got to many on my wall and to little space to justify hanging onto this one right now.
