Room & Board: Housing Phone #: Email or Fax click to view fullsize image Description: Help wanted on sizeable Laramie, WY cow calf, yearling and hay operation. We are looking for someone to join our crew and complete all aspects of ranch work. This person need not be a "cowboy" but all those that are interested are encouraged to apply. This persons primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Completing or assisting with water development projects such as springs, wells and stock tanks. Building, fixing and replacing livestock fencing. Maintaining ranch infrastructure including buildings, roads, stock water systems and corrals. Repairing and maintaining irrigation structures. Operating (or assisting with) 5 Valley center pivots. Light mechanical, including oil changes and P.M. on trucks, tractors, trailers, etc. Feeding cattle during the wintertime using JD Tractors and Haybusters and cake truck. Helping with calving chores during March and April. Loading hay trucks for our customers. (3x3’s and round bales.) The ability to ride and help gather cattle is a plus, but not a requirement for this position. Some minor farming such as harrowing meadows or rock rolling. (Haying is done by a sperate crew.) Operation of heavy equipment such as back hoe, skid steer, dozer, road grader, dump truck and excavator. Benefits include: Competitive salary commensurate with a persons past experience. Housing (1 bedroom house available on the ranch) or a housing stipend. We target a 5 day work week, with two days off per week plus paid vacation time. Beef provided annually in the spring. Company truck for all work purposes. Workers compensation insurance. A positive, progressive, for profit work environment with an excellent crew, very productive ranch and modern equipment. The ranch is located 20 miles west of Laramie, on 18 miles of blacktop and 2 miles of good gravel. Very close to a nice town, churches, schools and plentiful work opportunities for a spouse.
