He’s a 5yr old gelding, with loads of eye appeal. Seal Bay with roan flanks a coon tail, a couple white feet and a handsome blaze face! Smoothie is incredibly gentle, has a very inquisitive personality, and has had immense training in multiple areas. Smoothie’s resume is a diverse one. He was trained in a reining cow horse program, then went on as a ranch horse, back to a show horse, and has even been a little girls main mount for lessons. This fun little horse is a big stopper, has smooth lead changes, and pretty spins both directions. Smoothie circles very well, and stays very quiet while showing. He is easy to prepare and is quiet enough for any rider no matter if they are 4 or 94! Smoothie is bright on a cow and has a lot of look, and his reined work is exceptional. We have also prepared Smoothie to show in all the Ranch and trail classes, I believe he would be a phenomenal candidate for any of those. Smoothie could also go on as a heel or breakaway horse. We have steer stopped on Smoothie and he has shown an endless amount of promise. Smoothie has also been used for all aspects of ranch and feed yard work, he is savy at jobs like sorting, shipping and doctoring cattle, and we drag calves on him every spring. Versatility is one of the coolest things about this gelding, as nice of a performance horse as Smoothie is, he is equally that nice of a leisure horse for the family. He will happily saddle up and go for a nice little trail ride for absolutely any age or level of rider. He has been rode in the Palo Duro Canyon, where he has crossed water. Logs and other obstacles with ease. We have full confidence in this beautiful gelding. He never gets fresh no matter how much time he is given off, he’s always kind and ready for any job we ask of him. His ground manners are stellar, our little girl is 5, she can handle and ride this horse anywhere she wants and we never have to worry about them.
