Description:
Hooey is a perfect cowboy project. He is a grade 4-5 year old stud who doesn’t know he’s a stud. The prettiest grey with that solid jet black mane and tail, he is an eye catcher for sure. Gentle as a puppy on the ground, loves his neck scratches and getting all the attention he can. He was started as a 3 year old and went through two different trainers. He has had a bucking issue since then that is consistent, though he has calmed down a lot since I first got him. He will lunge both directions and stop on woah. Listens well to verbal cues. Takes a saddle but can be very cinchy. He is sound, no physical issues, he just has gotten away with bucking for his entire life. I work a physical job so I can’t afford to be getting bucked off and hurt. I don’t think it will take much to break him of it, someone just needs to be consistent with him and let him know that he can’t get away with it. He has been exposed to chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, four wheelers, tractors, cattle, etc, and nothing phases him. He isn’t really spooky just needs a lot of miles put on him, which I can’t offer him at this point. I’ve got over 2500 into him, and it just isn’t working for me to keep him on my feed bill when I can’t be riding him. Looking to sell or trade for yearling-2 year old or for a project that already has some miles on them. Make me an offer, the worst I can say is no!
