Brutus is a solid and seasoned ranch horse that is gentle, sound and easy to ride. He is built to last with plenty of bone, good feet, a big hip and wide chest. This horse has diligently performed all aspects of ranch work and is an asset to have around. He has seen just about everything from making big circles gathering cattle in rough country, doctoring yearlings, and dragging calves to the fire to loading cattle trucks, working sale barns and packing around guests. Brutus has a good walk and a smooth ground covering trot, lopes out easy and has some run when you need it. He stops, backs, gets soft on the bit, and will ride around one handed or with a direct rein. He is solid to ride out on trail and is equally confident out alone or in a group. He is not spooky, handles himself well on steep terrain, and crosses water, bridges and deadfall with ease. Easy to catch, load and tie, is good for the farrier and is just an all around nice horse to have around. $12,500
